Kevin Stolte – General Manager and Chief Maintenance Manager
Kevin is a highly experienced FAA-certified A&P and IA mechanic, with many years in general aviation as well as commercial airline heavy maintenance. He bring a vast knowledge and various skill sets that are second to none. He leads a top-notch group of highly skilled and dedicated aircraft maintenance technicians. In his spare time, he enjoys helping his son with an aspiring racing career. Kevin's friendly,and outgoing attitude personifies what we represent at Victory Lane Aviation.
Jamie Hatley – Office Manager
Jamie is usually the first voice or face that you will encounter at Victory Lane Aviation. Her professionalism and courtesy are what our customers remember from that first encounter. She is responsible for the day to day operation of the maintenance and flight school invoicing, collecting accounts receivable, and all around smooth operation of our business.
Shannon Garris – Chief Flight Instructor/Flight School Manager/ FAA A&P Mechanic
Shannon Garris grew up in N.C. then in 1993 moved to southern California to start his mechanic and flight instructor career with American Fliers. In 1995 He moved to Alaska where he spent the next 20 years working as an Airframe and Power plant mechanic, pilot and flight instructor for companies such as Olson Air (mechanic, pilot), Aerometric (aerial survey pilot/mechanic), Alaska Airlines (mechanic), Land and Sea Aviation (flight school owner-flight instructor/mechanic) Everts Air Cargo (DC-3 and DC-6 mechanic) and currently still in the Air National Guard(KC135 and C130 Mechanic/QA inspector). During his time in Alaska he worked for an aviation ministry called Christian Pilots Association of Alaska flying various folks to villages in Alaska for ministry purposes. He found this to be gratifying but most challenging as the weather in Alaska changes not only by the hour but significantly by each region.While Alaska will always be in the Garris families’ heart,Shannon with wife Diane and two teen age daughters moved to Concord N.C. in 2015 to enjoy milder winters and be closer to family members. He has over 22 years flying experience accumulating over 1700 flight hours and 23 years of aircraft maintenance experience. He is rated in single engine, multi-engine, tail-wheel, float plane and ski planes.
Travis Barklage – Flight Instructor
Travis has been playing with flight simulators since he was 3 years old and started flight training in 2013 at ATP in Concord where he earned his CFI, CFII, and MEI. Travis enjoys sharing flying trivia as well as supporting students as they gain the experience and information to obtain their certificates.
Matt Rutland – Assistant Flight School Manager and Commercial Pilot, ASEL, AMEL, IGI
Matt is a true product of the first flight to commercial pilot route. He oversees the day to day operation of the flight school and ensures our aircraft are in tip-top shape. In addition, Matt flies for Victory Lane Aviation providing commercial pilot services, such as aerial photography flights, and provides instrument ground instruction. He is a resident of the Concord area, is a US Navy veteran of 2 Western Pacific cruises on 5 aircraft carriers. He enjoys helping other achieve their aviation goals and dreams.
